Angelina Jolie Stuns at NY Film Festival with Kids in Tow for ‘Maria’ Premiere

Angelina Jolie turned heads and captured hearts at the New York Film Festival, where she made a dazzling appearance alongside three of her six children.

The event, held on September 29 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, showcased the premiere of her latest film, “Maria.”

Dressed in an elegant sleeveless white gown, Jolie was joined by her children: Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, and Maddox, 23.

Each family member looked stylish, with Zahara opting for a matching white dress, while Pax sported a sharp gray suit and tie.

Maddox complemented the ensemble in a classic black suit paired with a black tie.

In “Maria,” the 49-year-old actress steps into the shoes of the renowned opera singer Maria Callas.

Prior to this star-studded evening, Jolie had been riding high on the success of the film, which earned rave reviews and standing ovations at both the Venice Film Festival and the Telluride Film Festival.

The emotional impact of the screenings even brought Jolie to tears.

To prepare for her role, which will hit select theaters on November 27 and stream on Netflix starting December 11, Jolie dedicated several months to honing her singing abilities.

She candidly shared how her sons played a vital role in helping her manage her nerves during the process.

“I was incredibly anxious; it took me almost seven months of training,” Jolie confessed during a press conference last August.

“The first time I sang, my nerves got the best of me.

My sons were there to help, blocking the door so no one else could come in while I practiced.”

The film, directed by Pablo Larraín—who previously directed acclaimed films like “Jackie” and “Spencer”—delves into the life of Callas, chronicling her rise and the struggles she faced leading up to her tragic passing at the age of 53.

Set against the backdrop of Paris in September 1977, “Maria” explores the complexities of Callas’s public persona versus her private struggles.

It paints a portrait of the celebrated soprano as she navigates the fine line between being revered as ‘La Divina’ and confronting her own vulnerabilities.

Jolie’s stunning appearance at the New York Film Festival followed her previous red carpet moment at the Venice Film Festival, where she dazzled in a custom strapless beige Tamara Ralph gown, complete with a luxurious fur stole.

Her look was further accentuated by bold red lipstick and nails, showcasing her timeless elegance.

In addition to promoting “Maria,” Jolie has also been busy with her directorial project, “Without Blood,” which she is showcasing throughout the festival circuit.

During the Toronto International Film Festival, she wowed attendees in a striking black Dolce & Gabbana gown, complete with opera-style silk gloves, while proudly posing with Pax, who contributed to the film.

With each appearance, Jolie not only captivates the audience but also reminds us of the importance of family support in the pursuit of one’s passions.

As she continues to balance her career and motherhood, Angelina Jolie remains a beacon of grace and resilience in Hollywood.
