Margot Robbie Opens Up About Filming First s** Scene with Leonardo DiCaprio

Margot Robbie gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Naomi Lapaglia in the 2013 hit movie, The Wolf of Wall Street, where she starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, who played her onscreen husband.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Margot Robbie, the cover star for August, disclosed that the explicit scenes in the movie were her first experience with filming ‘proper’ s** scenes.

The 26-year-old actress reflected on the challenging nature of filming such scenes, describing it as ‘awkward’ and mentioning how there is no real way to prepare for them.

Recalling her past acting roles, Margot mentioned a shower scene in an Australian low-budget film where she was nearly n^ked but emphasized that it was nothing compared to the level of intimacy required in The Wolf of Wall Street.

It was during this film that she encountered her first start-to-finish s** scene.

Despite the discomfort of having numerous people observing the intimate scenes being filmed, Margot expressed the necessity of getting through the task at hand.

She highlighted the importance of simply proceeding with the scene as delaying it only prolongs the process.

The actress candidly admitted that while filming the scenes was already uncomfortable, watching them during a screening was equally uneasy.

She recounted a particularly awkward moment after a family screening where she had to navigate an uncomfortable conversation with her older brother, Lachlan.

Margot also shared insights into her journey to landing her breakthrough role on the popular Australian soap opera Neighbours.

Faced with the challenge of securing the audition while struggling to find work in Melbourne, she took matters into her own hands by persistently contacting the production company until she managed to arrange a meeting.

Her determination paid off when she landed the role of Donna Freedman on Neighbours, stepping into the spotlight in her native Australia.

This opportunity set the stage for her subsequent success, leading her to star in major Hollywood productions like The Legend of Tarzan, where she appears alongside Alexander Skarsgård, and her upcoming role as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, slated for release on August 5th.
