According to Michael Jackson’s nephew, Taj Jackson, the singer did not tie the knot with Lisa Marie Presley just to gain access to her late father, Elvis Presley’s, music collection.
Taj took to Twitter to refute these allegations, stating that his uncle had genuine feelings for Lisa Marie.
In a heartfelt tweet, Taj expressed, “My uncle LOVED Lisa Marie Presley.
He made it clear to me and my siblings on numerous occasions throughout the years.
His affection was sincere.
He saw her as his equal, not interested in her wealth, and believed she truly understood his life.
This article is disgraceful, and the credibility of your source is questionable.
Can anyone else see a recurring theme?”
Taj’s response came after an article in The Sun quoted Michael’s former maid, Adrian McManus, claiming that Michael had hidden motives behind his marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.
McManus alleged that she found a note on Michael’s bedroom board that stated, “Got to acquire the song list for Elvis.”
Alongside aspirations like “I want to heal the universe” and “I want to walk hand in hand with Prince Andres’s children,” the note regarding Elvis stood out to her.
She interpreted it as a strategic move similar to his acquisition of the Beatles catalog, casting doubt on the authenticity of his intentions towards Presley.
Furthermore, McManus suggested, “He was after Elvis’ legacy, and Lisa may have been deceived, sadly.
However, I believe she eventually realized the truth.”
Taj also hinted at exposing Maureen Orth, a Vanity Fair journalist who authored an article alleging concrete evidence in the s**ual abuse claims against Michael.
“I will be addressing that journalist in a later tweet, along with her prolonged vendetta against my uncle.
It’s baffling that people are treating her piece as credible information.”
