Queen Camilla Receives Heartfelt Messages for Kate Middleton Following Cancer Diagnosis

As the Princess of Wales, Kate, temporarily steps back from her royal responsibilities to undergo preventive chemotherapy, she finds solace in the warm wishes from her younger admirers.

During a visit to a farmers’ market in Shrewsbury, U.K., Queen Consort Camilla noticed two young girls displaying signs of support for Kate, who courageously shared her cancer diagnosis and treatment journey through a recent video message.

Approaching the girls with their uplifting signs that read “Send our love to Kate,” Camilla assured them, “I shall send these on to Catherine, she will be thrilled,” as captured in a video posted by a royal editor from The Sun newspaper.

Amidst health challenges faced by other senior royals, including King Charles III, who is undergoing cancer treatment according to an announcement made by Buckingham Palace in February, Camilla remains actively engaged in public appearances.

While specific details about Charles’ cancer type and treatment remain undisclosed, Kate, aged 42, also chose not to reveal the specifics of her cancer diagnosis publicly.

She disclosed the presence of cancer following post-operative tests subsequent to planned abdominal surgery earlier this year.

On March 22, 2024, Princess Catherine issued an official statement regarding her health status through BBC Studios, stating her commencement of preventive chemotherapy towards the end of February.

In light of their health concerns, both Kate and her husband Prince William have taken a break from public duties during their children’s Easter holiday from school, with William anticipated to resume his engagements later in April.

Palace authorities have emphasized that Kate will resume her public duties once medically cleared, affirming that updates on her return to work will be conveyed in due course, urging respect for the family’s privacy during this period, as articulated in a statement released on March 22.
