During a recent episode of the “I’ve Got News For You” podcast, Miriam Margolyes, known for her role in the “Harry Potter” series, shared her unpleasant experience working with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the 1999 film “End of Days.”
Margolyes claimed that Schwarzenegger intentionally passed gas in her face while they were on set filming for the supernatural action movie.
Expressing her disdain for Schwarzenegger, Margolyes criticized his behavior, labeling him as conceited and revealing that she does not hold a favorable opinion of the actor due to his political affiliation as a Republican.
Recalling the incident, Margolyes stated, “He’s a bit too full of himself and I don’t care for him at all.
He’s a Republican, which I don’t like.
He was actually quite rude.
He farted in my face.”
Margolyes, who portrayed Satan’s sister in the film, narrated the discomfort she felt during the scene where Schwarzenegger’s character was meant to be overpowering her.
She described the moment when Schwarzenegger deliberately released flatulence in her vicinity, emphasizing that it happened off-camera but has left an enduring negative impression on her.
Directed by Peter Hyams, “End of Days” featured Schwarzenegger in the lead role as a former police officer on a quest to prevent Satan from initiating the birth of the Antichrist.
Margolyes played a supporting role as one of Satan’s aides alongside a cast that included Gabriel Byrne, Robin Tunney, Kevin Pollak, and Rod Steiger.
