During recent interviews, the actress from Girls Trip disclosed that she and the renowned actor from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air have been living separately for a period spanning seven years.
Although this information has only come to light recently, Jada clarified in an interview with Today that their separation dates back to 2016.
The reason behind keeping this significant development under wraps was attributed to their lack of readiness to address the situation publicly as they were still navigating their dynamics and contemplating how to convey this to the public.
Delving further into the circumstances that led to their parting ways, Jada elaborated on the complexities that contributed to the fracture in their relationship.
She expressed, “The reasons for our split are multifaceted.
By the time 2016 arrived, we were drained from our efforts.
We found ourselves entrenched in ideals of how we envisioned each other.”
Despite contemplating the option of divorce, Jada shared that she ultimately opted against initiating the legal process.
