Sally Field Reveals Surprising Detail About Burt Reynolds’ Kissing Skills

Sally Field, known for her roles in Hollywood classics, recently made a shocking revelation about her former co-star and romantic partner, Burt Reynolds.

Despite Reynolds’ undeniable charm and charisma, Field disclosed on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live that he lacked proficiency in one particular area – kissing.

The pair, who starred together in the iconic film Smokey and the Bandit, had an on-again, off-again relationship from 1976 to 1982, with their personal dynamics extending beyond the silver screen.

During her appearance on the show, Field candidly shared her experience with Reynolds, leaving fans astonished at her revelation regarding his subpar kissing abilities.

She recounted how Reynolds fell short in this intimate aspect, citing an abundance of drooling as a notable issue.

This unexpected disclosure elicited audible reactions from the audience, underscoring the surprising nature of Field’s revelation.

While Field refrained from delving into further details about her past romance with Reynolds, she shifted the focus to her upcoming projects.

Notably, she is set to star in two distinct films – Spoiler Alert and 80 for Brady.

The former, a romantic tragicomedy, is based on journalist Michael Ausiello’s memoir and features a stellar cast including Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge.

Field’s role as Marilyn, Cowan’s mother, offers a departure from her previous on-screen dynamics with Reynolds, ensuring a fresh portrayal in this forthcoming production.

In discussing her involvement in Spoiler Alert, Field highlighted the challenges of portraying a character within the LGBTQ+ community while drawing from her personal experiences as an ally.

Reflecting on her son’s coming out journey, she emphasized the delicate balance between utilizing her emotions as an actor and maintaining the integrity of her character’s narrative arc.

Despite her strong convictions regarding parental support for LGBTQ+ individuals, Field underscored the importance of immersing herself in the fictional world of the story without letting her personal beliefs overshadow her performance.

Furthermore, Field shed light on her collaborative approach to character development, emphasizing her active engagement with the creative team to refine scenes and dialogue.

Drawing from her real-life experiences as a parent of a gay child, Field sought to infuse authenticity into her portrayal by leveraging her emotional reservoirs effectively.

This process allowed her to forge a deeper connection with her character, enriching the storytelling and enhancing the nuances of her performance.

As for her involvement in 80 for Brady, a film inspired by true events, Field joins a stellar ensemble cast that includes industry stalwarts Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

The narrative follows a group of die-hard New England Patriots fans embarking on a road trip to witness Tom Brady’s Super Bowl performance, culminating in a series of comedic misadventures.

With Rita Moreno completing the quartet, Field’s contribution to this light-hearted tale promises to captivate audiences with her versatile acting prowess and on-screen chemistry.
