Angelina Jolie’s Daughter Shiloh Changes Last Name

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s eldest biological daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, has made the decision to drop her father’s surname, according to reports.

As reported by TMZ, Shiloh, who recently turned 18 on Memorial Day, formally requested a name change, officially becoming an adult.

Shiloh is one of three biological children shared by Jolie and Pitt, alongside 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

The former couple also has three adopted children: Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.

While Shiloh appears to be the only child seeking to legally remove her father’s last name, Zahara has been using only Jolie in her name.

Additionally, Vivienne chose to be credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in a Broadway show production, omitting her hyphenated last name.

Jolie and Pitt’s relationship began in 2005, originating from their work on the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

Despite Pitt being married to Jennifer Aniston at the time, the pair eventually tied the knot in 2014 with all their children present.

The separation led to a contentious legal battle over custody and assets.

In the midst of this, Shiloh’s move to change her name adds another layer to the ongoing complexities between Jolie and Pitt.

This decision reflects Shiloh’s desire to assert her individual identity separate from her father’s name.

The evolution of names within the Jolie-Pitt family underscores the personal journeys each member is navigating amidst the public scrutiny surrounding their parents’ high-profile split.

As Shiloh asserts her autonomy through this legal process, it marks a significant moment of self-definition and independence as she steps
