Anne Hathaway recently shared her distress over the intimate scenes with co-star Jake Gyllenhaal in their upcoming movie ‘Love and Other Drugs’, confessing that it left her emotionally shattered.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, the 27-year-old actress described the film as daring and challenging.
Portraying the character of Maggie, a spirited yet gravely ill woman entangled in a romantic affair with Jamie, a Viagra salesman played by Gyllenhaal, Hathaway endured a tumultuous experience filming the provocative sequences.
Renowned for her role in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, Hathaway previously collaborated with Gyllenhaal in the 2005 romantic drama ‘Brokeback Mountain’, where they portrayed a married couple.
Reflecting on the vulnerability required for such roles, she expressed, “These are individuals unafraid to bare their bodies for art’s sake.
Personally, I found the process overwhelmingly intense.
It was a daily struggle, and tears were a constant companion throughout filming.
I leaned heavily on my support system, unlike my usual independent approach.
I felt completely overwhelmed, unlike anything I’ve faced before.”
The highly anticipated film, ‘Love and Other Drugs’, is scheduled for release in theaters on November 24, promising
