Heather Locklear Arrested: Actress Accused of Domestic Assault

Heather Locklear, a prominent US actress, was taken into custody on Sunday for an alleged incident of domestic violence at her residence close to Los Angeles, according to law enforcement officials.

Additionally, she faces accusations of committing three acts of battery against a deputy sheriff.

The unfolding events transpired when her brother contacted emergency services by dialing 911 upon witnessing a confrontation between the actress and her partner at her dwelling in Thousand Oaks, as reported by the celebrity news outlet TMZ.

Sergeant Eric Buschow from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office described Ms. Locklear, aged 56, as displaying “extreme hostility” during the encounter with law enforcement authorities.

In a similar incident back in 2008, the actress had been apprehended on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence of prescription drugs, as depicted in a police booking photo from that time.

According to a statement provided to the LA Times, additional police personnel had to be summoned to the location due to her active resistance during the arrest process.

Law enforcement officers encountered difficulties in placing Ms. Locklear, a former lead in the renowned US soap opera Melrose Place, into a police cruiser.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Captain Garo Kuredjian disclosed that the actress’s boyfriend sustained physical injuries but opted out of seeking medical aid following the altercation.

Following her arrest, Ms. Locklear was transported to Ventura County Jail and subsequently released after furnishing a bail amount of $20,000 (£14,300).

She is scheduled to make a court appearance on 13 March to address the charges brought against her.
