In a recent court testimony, Johnny Depp shared how he came to the rescue of his apprehensive ex-wife, Amber Heard, when she was about to film a challenging n^de scene for the movie ‘The Rum Diary,’ which he both starred in and produced, based on a novel by Hunter S. Thompson.

During the multi-million dollar defamation trial between the former couple, Depp revealed that Heard was supposed to shoot a scene where her character, Chenault, danced in a crowded nightclub and eventually removed her top.

However, as Depp observed the filming process, he realized that the potentially uncomfortable scene could be avoided if Heard simply held up her red bra amidst the surrounding crowd.

“I was present on set during the filming of that scene, and as the crowd closed in on her, I checked on Ms. Heard to ensure she was comfortable.

She reassured me that she was fine,” Depp recounted.

“I noticed that by lifting the red bra out of the crowd, we could imply n^dty without actually showing it.”

To demonstrate his point to the jury, Depp raised his arm in the witness box, emphasizing how Heard could subtly hint at n^dty without actually going through with it.

He recalled advising Heard, “You don’t need to undress, you don’t have to remove your top, everything is under control,” to which she expressed gratitude.

Reflecting on their limited interactions until then, Depp mentioned a pivotal scene where Heard unexpectedly walked in on him in the shower, leading to an unplanned kiss.

Despite the scripted nature of the moment, Depp confessed feeling conflicted due to their respective relationships at the time – Heard with her partner and Depp with Vanessa Paradis and their children.

Describing the aftermath of the intimate on-set encounter, Depp disclosed, “There was a sense of authenticity in the shower kiss that lingered.

After work that day, Ms. Heard visited my trailer, where we shared a glass of wine and exchanged another kiss.”

However, Depp acknowledged the impracticality of prolonging the interaction, given the presence of nine Teamsters waiting outside to relocate the trailer.

Their paths crossed again two years later during the film’s press junket in Los Angeles, following Heard’s separation from her partner and Depp’s turbulent relationship with Paradis, who expressed a desire to return to France, causing strain in their partnership.
