Kim Kardashian is speaking up for the first time about her relationship with Pete Davidson, and she’s ready to start a new chapter.
The Kardashians are front and center in a new cover story for Variety released on Wednesday, promoting their upcoming Hulu series, simply named “The Kardashians,” and how much of their personal life will make it on screen this time around.
Kim addressed her about her current boyfriend Pete Davidson’s attitude about filming.
She said, “I have not filmed with him. And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to get away. I think I might film something really exciting coming, but it wouldn’t be for this season.”
In June of last year, the Kardashians suspended shooting their E! reality program Keeping Up with the Kardashians before reaching a new deal with Disney-owned streaming service Hulu.
The Kardashians, a new program set to launch on April 14th, will supposedly have a documentary-style vibe to it.
When the show begins on April 14, Kim told Variety that viewers will witness “how we met and who reached out to who and how it happened and all the details that everyone wants to know.”
“I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain,” she stated.
Shortly after the Skims CEO headlined Saturday Night Live in October 2021, the pair were connected for the first time. While costumed as Jasmine and Aladdin, the two enjoyed a kiss on TV throughout the program. Kardashian and the comedian were afterwards seen together in New York and California many times before confirming their relationship with PDA photos in November 2021.
At the time, a source exclusively told Us Weekly, “Kim lights up when she’s around Pete. Their chemistry is off the charts and getting stronger each passing day. … No one can remember seeing her smile and laugh so much around a guy.”
The first of two seasons of “The Kardashians” will premiere on Hulu on April 14, with each season featuring a whopping 20 episodes. The new program would be a “premium version” of the family’s long-running E! show, using “more documentary style” material to highlight the family’s headline-making personal turmoil.
Despite the animosity between the ex-couple, Kardashian has said that she would not criticize the father of her four children on the program.
Kardashian’s divorce from Kanye West will also be discussed, although in a subdued manner. “IBeing in the public eye and having disagreements publicly is never easy,” she stated of herself and West. “But I do believe in handling it all privately. I believe in championing publicly and criticizing privately. I don’t think I would ever criticize the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good.”
“I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see,” she continued. “The reality is, we’re always a family. We always will have a love and respect for each other. And even if there’s moments where it might not seem like that, there are so many moments that are super positive. I do think it’s important for people to see that things aren’t perfect all the time, but that they can get better.”
The condition of her sister Khloé Kardashian’s relationship with NBA star Tristan Thompson will also be revealed in the upcoming series.
True, Khloé Kardashian’s three-year-old daughter, is the couple’s only child.
