Kirstie Alley’s Revealing Confession About Almost Marrying John Travolta

In a candid moment, Kirstie Alley, aged 67, has shared insights into her close relationship with John Travolta, aged 64, recounting tales of her past romantic entanglements to her Celebrity Big Brother U.K. housemates.

Recalling the past, Alley admitted, “I believe I once shared a kiss with Travolta.

There was a time when I nearly eloped with John.

I harbored strong feelings for him then, and those emotions still linger.

If circumstances had been different, I might have tied the knot with him, perhaps soaring off in his personal aircraft.”

Both Alley and Travolta share a bond through their affiliation with Scientology and their joint appearances in the 1989 movie Look Who’s Talking and its subsequent sequels: Look Who’s Talking Too in 1990 and Look Who’s Talking Now in 1993.

Reflecting on another former colleague, Patrick Swayze, whom she worked with on the 1985 miniseries North and South, Alley confessed to having developed an attraction towards him during filming.

“I contemplated having a relationship with Patrick Swayze, but we were both committed to our respective partners, so I refrained from pursuing it further,” she disclosed.

“Although I did share a kiss with him, I held firm to my belief in fidelity, especially considering his marital status at that time.

Engaging in a romance with your co-star is a common pitfall in the movie industry, given the extensive time spent together while shooting a film.”

Alley expressed, “Consider this – we labored on North and South for an entire year.

When you are constantly in someone’s company for such an extended period, it becomes challenging to resist developing deeper emotions.”

Despite her admiration for Swayze, Alley declared in a 2013 conversation with Howard Stern that her sentiments for Travolta surpassed any other connections she had experienced.

Although there were mutual sentiments between Alley and Travolta, they refrained from acting on them due to Alley’s marital ties with Parker Stevenson at that time.

“It took me a considerable amount of time to view John purely as a dear friend, as he was undeniably the most significant love of my life,” she acknowledged.

Alley parted ways with Stevenson in 1997.

By then, Travolta had already exchanged vows with actress Kelly Preston.

Alley recounted how Preston would playfully reprimand her for her interactions with Travolta, suspecting flirtatious behavior.
