Kristen Stewart Criticizes Sexism in Hollywood

Actress Kristen Stewart recently voiced her concerns about the unequal treatment of women in the entertainment industry during an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

Widely recognized for her role in the popular Twilight series, Stewart expressed her frustration at the way women are often marginalized compared to their male counterparts.

According to Stewart, women face additional challenges in getting their voices heard, stating, “Women have to put in extra effort to make themselves noticed.

Hollywood’s blatant sexism is both outrageous and bewildering.”

In the interview, Stewart also shared her aversion to filming intimate scenes, especially those involving her former partner and co-star, Robert Pattinson.

She emphasized her discomfort with such scenes, particularly when they feel forced and unnatural.

Recalling a particularly demanding moment during the filming of Twilight, she described the pressure to create a s** scene that was extraordinary and surreal, surpassing all expectations, which proved to be a daunting task.

Discussing the choices made by fellow actresses to bare it all on screen, Stewart raised questions about the timing of such decisions.

She pondered the significance when established actresses suddenly opt to expose themselves in a film, suggesting that it may sometimes be driven by the desire for critical acclaim rather than artistic expression.

Stewart expressed her skepticism towards such acts, implying that they may sometimes be seen as a calculated move rather than a genuine artistic choice.

The actress also touched upon the challenges of fame, describing it as a double-edged sword.

Despite her success, Stewart revealed that fame can be overwhelming and intrusive, negatively impacting one’s personal life.

Last year, Stewart announced her intention to take a break from acting to explore more hands-on creative endeavors.

However, she has since committed to upcoming projects, including a collaboration with renowned filmmaker Woody Allen and a historical drama featuring Brendon Gleeson, signaling her return to the big screen.
