A groundbreaking investigative documentary titled “Marilyn, Her Final Secret” has recently been completed by Label News.
The film delves into the mystery surrounding Marilyn Monroe’s biological father, a figure she never had the chance to meet during her lifetime.
Directed by Francois Pomès, this documentary is the result of an exclusive DNA analysis conducted by Ludovic Orlando, a specialist in molecular archaeology based in Southern France.
Orlando utilized a hair sample from Monroe, provided by John Reznikoff, a well-known auctioneer and authenticator, along with a saliva sample from the great-grandchild of Charles Stanley Gifford, Monroe’s suspected father.
Incorporating archival footage and interviews, the documentary traces Monroe’s relentless quest to uncover her paternal lineage and establish a connection with her father.
It also delves into the scientific process involved in obtaining DNA evidence to solve this long-standing mystery.
Pomès shared insights into the research process, stating, “The hair sample we utilized from Monroe was gathered by the individual who embalmed her after her passing, allowing us to extract 22% of her genetic makeup through a DNA fragment present in the keratin.” He emphasized the dedication and effort invested over several years to produce this hour-long documentary, aiming to definitively identify Monroe’s father and expose a hidden family truth.
Pomès recounted the poignant response from Gifford’s descendants upon learning of the conclusive evidence.
The upcoming premiere of “Marilyn, Her Final Secret” is scheduled for June on the French channel Toute l’Histoire.
The distribution rights for the documentary have been secured by Mediawan Rights for various international channels, including RTBF (Belgium), RTS (Switzerland), SBS (Australia), and others.
Both the French and English-language versions of the documentary are being marketed by Mediawan Rights, underscoring the global interest in Monroe’s story and the revelations stemming from the DNA research.
Additionally, Label News is already planning a follow-up documentary to further explore the new revelations brought to light by Monroe’s genetic investigation.
