Megan Fox’s Heartfelt Journey Through Loss and Healing

Within the pages of her book, she delves into themes of toxic relationships, love dependencies, and the heart-wrenching experience of miscarrying a baby girl conceived with her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly, also known as Colson Baker.

Reflecting on the devastating pregnancy loss, Fox expressed, “I’ve never been through anything like that in my life.” In an interview on Good Morning America, she shared the emotional turmoil both she and Kelly faced following the miscarriage.

The couple embarked on a tumultuous journey, individually and together, grappling with the profound questions of ‘Why did this happen?’

and ‘What does this mean?’

During the Billboard Music Awards in May 2022, Kelly took the stage to perform his song “Twin Flame,” dedicated to his wife.

As he concluded his performance, he poignantly mentioned, “and this is for our unborn child,” shedding light on the depth of their shared loss.

In one of her poems addressing the miscarriage, Fox sorrowfully penned, “I want to hold your hand / hear your laugh,” before bidding farewell with poignant words like “but now / I have to say / goodbye.” She vividly described the heart-wrenching image of imagining cradling the unborn baby “as they rip you from my insides.”

The poet also grapples with the aftermath of losing the pregnancy, questioning, “I will pay any price / Tell me please / what is the ransom / for her soul?” This raw exploration of grief and longing encapsulates the depth of her emotional journey.

Fox, who shares three children with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green, revealed that Kelly was a driving force behind her decision to compile the poetry collection.

Describing the process as cathartic, she emphasized the necessity of expressing her innermost thoughts and emotions through her writing.

Opening up about her past struggles with unsettling experiences and the challenges of fame, Fox disclosed that some of her poems were excluded from the book due to the public scrutiny she constantly faces.

She admitted, “I just think it was something inside of me that had to come out, because it was going to make me sick.”

In an Instagram post in August announcing the impending release of her book, Fox bared her soul, declaring, “I’ve spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins.” She expressed hope that her words would empower others to reclaim their joy and identity by shedding light on buried truths that linger in the shadows.
