Meghan Markle’s Displeasure with Nottingham Cottage Over Kensington Palace Revealed

A claim has emerged stating that Meghan Markle felt disregarded when she was allocated Nottingham Cottage instead of residing in Kensington Palace.

According to author Tom Quinn, the allure of the royal family initially captivated the Duchess of Sussex.

However, as time passed, she and Prince Harry grew disenchanted with their living arrangements.

Their first marital abode, the two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage, situated on the grounds of Kensington Palace, was where the couple established their home before relocating to Frogmore Cottage and eventually to California.

During an interview with the Mirror’s ‘Pod Save The Queen’ podcast, Mr. Quinn expressed his belief that Meghan was dissatisfied with their initial residence, referring to it as a “little prefab” within the palace grounds.

Despite Mr. Quinn’s assertions, authors Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie contended that Meghan found contentment at Nottingham Cottage in London.

In their book ‘Finding Freedom’, they highlighted Meghan’s joy at sharing the same address as Harry, finding solace in the cottage and viewing it as a place to begin a new chapter in her life.

However, the couple’s stay at Nottingham Cottage was short-lived, as they soon relocated to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, seeking respite from the demands of London life.

Notwithstanding, Mr. Quinn suggested that even this move did not bring satisfaction, likening the experience to living in desolate surroundings akin to the Russian Steppe, away from everything familiar.

The Sussexes eventually settled in a grand mansion in California after stepping back from their royal duties.

During a conversation with TV host James Corden, Meghan humorously dismissed the idea of moving again, indicating they had had their fair share of relocations.
