Sally Field’s Candid Revelation: The Unexpected Truth About Her On-Screen Kiss

Actress Sally Field has brought forth surprising revelations in a recent interview.

During a segment on the show “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” on Thursday, December 1, Field openly disclosed the identity of the actor whom she considers her worst on-screen kiss, responding to a fan’s direct inquiry.

With a mischievous glance, the 76-year-old Field pondered whether she should disclose the information.

Encouraged by Cohen, aged 54, she proceeded to name her ex-boyfriend, Burt Reynolds.

Cohen, taken aback, questioned the timing of their relationship, to which Field admitted that she had simply chosen to ignore the lackluster experience of kissing her “Smokey and the Bandit” co-star.

Field expressed her discomfort with the situation, emphasizing that Reynolds’ kissing technique did not meet her expectations, resulting in what she described as excessive drooling on his part.

Cohen reacted with surprise to her candid confession.

The duo reportedly first crossed paths on the set of “Smokey and the Bandit” in 1977 and subsequently engaged in a romantic relationship that lasted almost five years.

Following Reynolds’ passing from cardiac arrest in 2018 at the age of 82, revelations from his memoir, “But Enough About Me,” indicated his regret over not investing more effort into sustaining his connection with Field, as reported by the New York Post.

Field later disclosed to Variety in March that she chose to maintain a distance from Reynolds during the last three decades of his life due to personal reasons.

Reflecting on their tumultuous history, Field explained that Reynolds’ presence was detrimental to her well-being, highlighting his misguided perception of their relationship dynamics.

Despite his attempts to rekindle their bond, Field asserted that she was unwilling to entertain such sentiments, prioritizing her own peace of mind above all else.
