Sharon Stone Reveals Shocking Encounter with Producer in New Memoir

In a sneak peek of her upcoming memoir, “The Beauty of Living Twice,” Sharon Stone opens up about her experiences in the entertainment industry.

Within the pages of her memoir, Stone candidly shares a troubling incident involving a producer who suggested she engage in a physical relationship with a male costar to enhance their on-screen chemistry.

According to Stone, the producer insinuated that by sleeping with her costar, it would elevate his acting abilities.

However, Stone expressed skepticism, stating, “Nobody’s that good in bed.”

The revelations in Stone’s memoir, as unveiled by Vanity Fair, shed light on the exploitative behavior she faced from industry professionals.

Recalling the distressing encounter, Stone detailed how the producer justified his proposition by recounting past on-screen romances, including one with Ava Gardner, which left her unsettled.

Expressing her frustration, Stone questioned the producer’s decision to cast an actor who struggled during auditions, suggesting they prioritize talent over inappropriate suggestions.

Refusing to comply with the producer’s demands, Stone asserted her commitment to her craft and declined to partake in such demeaning tactics.

Despite facing pressure from multiple producers throughout her career to engage in similar arrangements, Stone stood firm in her refusal, leading to her being labeled as “difficult” in the industry.

In a poignant reflection, Stone disclosed an instance where a former manager criticized her for not fitting the industry’s narrow standards of attractiveness, deeming her “unhireable.”

Furthermore, Stone recounted an unsettling encounter with a director, whom she referred to as a “#MeToo candidate,” who made inappropriate advances during a rehearsal, resulting in a standoff that affected their working dynamic.

Delving into her breakthrough role in “Basic Instinct,” Stone shared her initial shock upon viewing the controversial leg-crossing scene, revealing the emotional toll it took on her.

As anticipation builds for the release of “The Beauty of Living Twice” on March 30, readers are poised to gain deeper insights into Stone’s resilience and unwavering commitment to navigating the complexities of the entertainment industry.
