Brad Pitt says Leonardo DiCaprio calls me ‘lover’

At the SAG Awards, Brad Pitt had a number of memorable moments. Pitt was on fire, from hanging out with his ex Jennifer Aniston backstage and maybe grasping her hand in a provocative manner to making a humorous speech on his Tinder profile. He also revealed what fellow actor Leonardo DiCaprio refers to him as.

Pitt revealed the endearing moniker “LDC” (as Pitt referred to DiCaprio in his Golden Globe winning speech) bestowed on him when he stopped by to talk with EW and PeopleTV on the 2020 SAG Awards red carpet on Sunday.

“Lover. He calls me Lover,” Pitt said. “It’s a bit confusing, but I roll with it.”

Pitt also spoke on working with his Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood co-star, saying, “You’ll find, with most of the guys, I would say we’re all pretty much rooting for each other, we all have respect for each other, we all have a good laugh with each other. And it plays. And it’s pretty easy.”

For his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, the Ad Astra actor won the Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role award.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood tells the tale of elderly actor Rick Dalton (DiCaprio) and his stunt double Cliff Booth in a fictitious drama of fading popularity (Pitt).

Pitt remarked during his humorous speech, “Let’s face it, playing a man who gets high, pulls his shirt off, and doesn’t get along with his wife was challenging. It was a significant stretch.”

‘I want to thank my costars: Leo, Margot Robbie, Margot Robbie’s feet, Margaret Qualley’s feet, Dakota Fanning’s feet.’

‘Seriously, Quentin has separated more women from their shoes than the TSA,’ the actor said.

Pitt went on to say that he enjoys working with Tarantino. “He has such a verve for the filmmaking process. He’s knows he’s not going to be there, but for 10 films, so it’s not going to be indefinite. He has such reverence for filming and for film that, he makes a party out of it. He loves a story. If we’re in the middle of a good story, the take is going to wait. We’ll get to the take and it’s going to be good, but we’re going to finish the story,” said the performer.

Pitt and DiCaprio extended their bromance onto the dance floor after the SAG Awards ceremony, where Pitt took home a victory and had a lovely reunion with his former Jennifer Aniston backstage.

It was also claimed that Pitt and DiCaprio had become close friends off-screen since they started working together. The two are said to spend a lot of time together and have a passion for ceramics. According to a source, the two previously spent time together with Pitt’s other ceramic buddies.
