Elvis and Marilyn: The Untold Secret Night They Shared

Elvis Presley gave a memorable performance of ‘Hound Dog’ in 1956.

However, what unfolded between the iconic Elvis and Marilyn Monroe after meeting on the set at Paramount Studios in June 1960 has remained shrouded in mystery.

At that time, Marilyn, who was in an unhappy marriage with Arthur Miller, graced TV screens in Some Like It Hot.

The only individual claiming to have insights into their clandestine encounter was Byron Raphael, a publicity and management agent.

He disclosed orchestrating the covert rendezvous and witnessing the renowned duo emerging n^ked from the bedroom.

Surprisingly, this liaison transpired when Elvis had just encountered his future wife, supposedly smitten by her.

Returning from military service in Germany, Elvis delved into Hollywood to work on his upcoming movie, GI Blues.

Despite developing feelings for 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu while abroad, fidelity was not a trait associated with the superstar.

Concurrently, he was romantically linked with 22-year-old actress Anita Wood.

Amidst the hustle, actual princesses Margrethe of Denmark, Astrid of Norway, and Margaretha of Sweden visited him on set.

However, speculations lingered concerning his alleged interaction with the reigning silver screen queen.

According to junior agent Byron Raphael, the episode commenced when the William Morris Agency sought to orchestrate high-profile public outings for Elvis and Marilyn, a proposal she declined.

The agent recounted Marilyn’s quip to Elvis, “You’re pretty good for a guitar player,” which swiftly led them to the bedroom, leaving him bewildered about his role in the scenario.

Startled awake as the duo exited unclothed, Byron discreetly observed their departure without uttering a word.

Elvis reportedly hailed a cab for Marilyn once their tryst concluded, later commenting on her stature, “She’s a nice gal, but a little tall for me.”

While these details are intricate, skepticism lingers about their veracity.

Elvis was entangled in numerous romantic liaisons, including one with Ann-Margret.

It is worth noting that Marilyn’s age and assertive charm might have been deterrents for Elvis, who exhibited a penchant for younger, more demure companions like Priscilla.

Contrary to Marilyn’s allure, Elvis was captivated by Ann-Margret’s spirited persona, culminating in a protracted affair post their collaboration in Viva Las Vegas.

Marilyn, on the other hand, gravitated towards mature, influential individuals such as Miller, President John F Kennedy, and her second spouse, Joe DiMaggio.
