Jacqueline Kennedy’s Underwhelmed Reaction to Warren Beatty’s Bedroom Skills

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was reportedly unimpressed by the romantic abilities of her boyfriend, Warren Beatty, as a new book reveals.

According to an excerpt from “Jackie: Public, Private, Secret,” obtained by People on Wednesday, the former first lady shared that she considered Beatty’s skills only average.

During the mid-’70s, following President John F. Kennedy’s passing, Onassis, who later succumbed to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 1994, briefly dated Beatty, aged 86.

The author J. Randy Taraborrelli details how the socialite encountered the movie star while working as a book editor, attempting to attract prominent personalities for memoir projects.

Initially intrigued by Beatty, Onassis went on several dates with him, even allowing him to stay overnight at her Fifth Avenue residence after one of their outings.

However, the relationship fizzled out a few months later due to Onassis feeling that the “Bonnie and Clyde” actor, known as a “Casanova” during that era, was excessively self-absorbed.

According to Taraborrelli, Onassis perceived Beatty as overly focused on his career in the film industry, constantly discussing directors, producers, and movies, topics that failed to captivate her interest.

Consequently, she decided to end the liaison, believing it had extended beyond its natural duration.

Following President Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, Onassis found herself single, eventually engaging in the short-lived romance with Beatty.

The book “Jackie: Public, Private, Secret” is scheduled for release on July 18, shedding light on this aspect of Onassis’ personal life.

While Beatty, who has been wedded to actress Annette Bening since 1994, has not publicly addressed his involvement with Onassis, this episode of their relationship has been previously explored in “Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis: A Life Beyond Her Wildest Dreams,” a publication from 2014.

Despite media attention on their affair, Beatty’s representatives have yet to respond to requests for comments on the revelations presented in the book.
