Actress Lindsay Lohan found herself in hot water once more as she was taken into custody on Thursday following an altercation at a nightclub in New York City.

The well-known star of movies such as “Mean Girls” and “Freaky Friday” was apprehended around 4 a.m. and formally accused of committing third-degree assault.

Upon leaving the police precinct almost four hours later, Lohan attempted to conceal her identity by donning a black jacket over her head.

Her outfit consisted of leggings paired with a green mini dress and high heels, and she departed in a black SUV accompanied by a driver, a female companion, and another male individual who was observed entering and exiting the precinct.

The incident transpired at Club Avenue, located in Manhattan’s Chelsea district, where Lohan reportedly engaged in a physical altercation with another woman.

According to law enforcement officials, she struck the woman in the face with her hand, though the victim did not sustain any serious injuries that necessitated medical attention.

As of now, Lohan’s publicist has not responded to requests for comments regarding the situation.

This latest encounter with the law marks just one in a series of run-ins Lindsay Lohan has had with authorities in New York City.

Previously, she was embroiled in a police inquiry in September after accusing a man of assaulting her at a hotel in the city; however, charges against the man were subsequently dismissed.

In another incident from the same month, the actress was accused of hitting a man with her car outside a different nightclub in Manhattan, although prosecutors opted not to pursue charges in that instance.

Further complications arose in October when police were summoned to her childhood residence on Long Island following reports of a altercation involving Lohan and her mother.

Following an investigation, no criminal wrongdoing was established.

Earlier in the summer, Lohan was involved in a vehicular mishap in California that resulted in her and her assistant being hospitalized, fortunately without sustaining severe injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are still being looked into.

Moreover, in May, allegations that she had struck a nightclub manager with her vehicle were disproven.
