New book explores all, plus Madonna’s epic retort

Jackie Kennedy’s Disapproval: Unveiling the Untold Feud with Madonna

In a recently published biography by J. Randy Taraborrelli, the intriguing relationship between Madonna and Jackie Kennedy is brought to light.

The book titled “Jackie: Public, Private, Secret” delves into the life of the iconic former First Lady of the United States, Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy, revealing previously undisclosed details about her personal life and interactions.

The author shared some scandalous insights in an interview with People, shedding light on Jackie’s son, John F Kennedy Jr., who was a highly sought-after bachelor in the 1980s before eventually marrying Carolyn Bessette.

Unfortunately, both JFK Jr. and Carolyn met a tragic end in a plane crash three years after their marriage in 1996.

During his bachelor days, JFK Jr. attracted attention from big names, one of whom was the famed singer Madonna, who was at the peak of her celebrity status during the 1980s.

This connection might have stirred disapproval from Jackie, raising questions about her son’s involvement with such prominent figures.

Contrary to speculations that Jackie’s qualms stemmed from Madonna’s resemblance to Marilyn Monroe, Taraborrelli suggests different reasons for her disapproval.

According to the biographer, Jackie’s primary concern was Madonna’s marital status, as she was still legally married to Sean Penn, despite their separation during that period.

Additionally, Jackie struggled to comprehend Madonna’s craving for the limelight, having spent her own celebrity life evading paparazzi while Madonna actively courted media attention.

This disparity in their approaches to fame created a barrier between Jackie and Madonna, leading to tensions in their encounters.

Despite her reservations, JFK Jr. reportedly convinced his mother to attend one of Madonna’s Broadway performances, where she discreetly disguised herself by wearing a red wig to avoid being recognized.

Although Jackie acknowledged Madonna’s talent, she chose not to meet the singer backstage, refusing to acknowledge or endorse their acquaintance.

Interestingly, this anecdote corroborates claims made by music icon Carly Simon, a close friend of Jackie, who revealed Jackie’s strong disapproval of Madonna and her efforts to steer JFK Jr. away from certain women.

Simon highlighted Jackie’s deep concerns about Madonna, emphasizing the disapproval she held towards the singer.

In response to Jackie’s disdain, Madonna, known for her bold and unapologetic nature, visited Jackie’s home and signed the guestbook as “Mrs. Sean Penn,” a subtle yet defiant act in defiance of Jackie’s judgment.

This incident further fueled the underlying tension between the two influential women.

As the revelations in Taraborrelli’s new book continue to unravel the complexities of Jackie Kennedy’s life and relationships, readers are offered a glimpse into the intricate dynamics between the former First Lady and notable personalities like Madonna.

Scheduled for release on July 18, the biography promises to provide a deeper understanding of Jackie’s private struggles and public image.
