Nicole Kidman’s Heartache: Revealing Two Miscarriages during Tom Cruise Marriage

Nicole Kidman recently shared her deeply personal experience of enduring miscarriages while being married to Tom Cruise in a candid interview.

The renowned actress, now 50, faced immense sorrow when she suffered her first miscarriage at the age of 23 soon after tying the knot with Cruise in 1990.

The loss was due to an ectopic pregnancy, where the embryo starts growing in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus.

In a heartfelt conversation with Talter magazine for their July 2018 edition, Kidman expressed the profound emotional pain she went through.

She emphasized the significant impact of miscarriage on women, stating that the grief accompanying such a loss is often overlooked in discussions about pregnancy challenges.

Despite their efforts to conceive again, Kidman and Cruise, who is 55 years old, faced another heartbreaking miscarriage around the time when Cruise initiated divorce proceedings in 2001.

This added to the emotional turmoil Kidman had already been enduring.

Reflecting on these distressing experiences, Kidman had previously shared her struggles with miscarriage in an interview with Marie Claire back in November 2007.

She revealed her strong desire to have children right from the beginning of her marriage to Cruise and how the loss of a baby early on had a profound impact on them, ultimately leading them to adopt their first child, Bella.

During their marriage, Kidman and Cruise welcomed two adopted children into their family – Isabella, now 25, and Connor, now 22.

Kidman acknowledged that adoption had always been a possibility for her, influenced by her own family’s history, and she felt it was a natural path for her to take.

Following her split from Cruise, Kidman found love again and remarried Keith Urban in 2006.

The couple shares two daughters, Sunday, aged 9, and Faith, aged 7.

Despite her past with Cruise, Kidman prefers not to dwell on those memories out of respect for her current husband, Keith Urban.

After parting ways with Kidman, Cruise went on to marry Katie Holmes in 2006.

However, their high-profile marriage ended in divorce in 2012.

The former couple are parents to a daughter named Suri, who is now 12 years old.
