Surprisingly, Kidman herself faced challenges evading bruises while filming and would frequently return home marked with dark, painful patches.

In an interview with Vogue, Kidman disclosed her husband Keith Urban’s distress upon witnessing her bruised state, stating, “He was devastated seeing it, but then he would say, ‘But I have an artist wife!’

He knows that’s how I work; I don’t even notice it half the time.”

Reflecting on her experience, Kidman shared, “I didn’t realize how much of it penetrated me.

I would go home at night sometimes and be in a lot of pain, and I had to take things like Advil because I was being thrown around physically.

I was really bruised.”

Despite the physical toll, Kidman expressed admiration for portraying Celeste, emphasizing her love for the intricately crafted character and the opportunity to work alongside Skarsgard, whom she described as “amazing”.

“As actors, that’s what we all seek,” she remarked.

“But at the same time, when I walked away from it, I remember thinking that was the deepest I’ve gone in terms of finding and losing things.”
