Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers appear to have different thoughts about potentially rekindling their romance following their split, according to a report.

“Shailene doesn’t know if she wants to get back together yet,” a source tells Us Weekly.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback, however, seems to be ready to recommit to their relationship, with the insider saying, “He thinks their differences don’t matter and that they would make a great fit.” He’s “very in love” with Woodley and “trying to get her back.”

Exes Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers were photographed in Palm Beach, Florida together on Monday, arriving there on a private jet and departing that same day. TMZ ran photos yesterday and suggested that the two are back together, but not quite yet.

Since news broke earlier this year that they’ve called off their engagement, the exes appeared to have maintained a close relationship, having been spotted together multiple times in recent weeks.

The estranged couple surprised fans with their initial romance when Rodgers announced in February 2021 that he was engaged. At the time, he didn’t identify Woodley as his fiancée, but Us confirmed their relationship that same month.

Woodley and Rodgers were seen together at his friend’s wedding over the weekend. A source told People that Woodley went only as a friend. “They both had intense work schedules in the fall, and it wasn’t possible for them to focus on their relationship,” the source told the outlet Monday. “Now when Aaron’s [football] season is over, he wants to give it another try. He thinks Shailene is very special. She is more hesitant though.”

Rodgers officiated his Green Bay Packers teammate David Bakhtiari’s wedding to Frankie Shebby in Santa Barbara, California, over the weekend, and Woodley attended the ceremony with her ex as a friend, People reported, citing an unnamed source.

The twosome, who were first linked in July 2020, gave fans a glimpse into their whirlwind romance on several occasions before their February split.

“I’m recently engaged, so been enjoying that part of my life,” Rodgers said during a March 2021 Instagram Live interview with Zenith Watches’ CEO Julien Tornare. He noted that while “there’s been a lot of good” in his life recently, his engagement to Woodley was “obviously” the “best thing that’s happened to me in the last year.”

While Woodley and Rodgers were photographed walking alongside each other in Palm Beach, the former couple didn’t show any PDA or even smile. TMZ was told Woodley and Rodgers only stayed in Palm Springs for about five hours before departing on their private jet again.

An anonymous insider told the outlet that Rodgers is hoping for a reconciliation and is determined to win her back now that he can focus on their romance.

“They both had intense work schedules in the fall and it wasn’t possible for them to focus on their relationship,” the source explained. “Now, when Aaron’s season is over, he wants to give it another try. He thinks Shailene is very special. She is more hesitant though.”

The Big Little Lies alum, for her part, reflected on how fast she and the NFL star connected after meeting amid the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Starting a relationship where you immediately move in with someone — because it’s a pandemic and you can’t just get on a plane and go back and forth on weekends — taught us a lot about each other very quickly,” the Last Letter From Your Lover actress told Shape in June 2021. “We jumped in headfirst and got some of the sticky bits out of the way early.”

Woodley added: “I have the perspective that I would have met Aaron in any context, any space in time, because I feel we were meant to be together.”

During a recent interview on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers had nothing but praise for Woodley, saying she was an “amazing partner to do life with,” which “just makes the work-life a bonus.”

“She’s just an incredible woman, talented, smart kind,” said Rodgers. “I said last night, she taught me what unconditional love looks like and that’s a great gift. When you have a partner like that it just makes life so much more enjoyable.”

Despite focusing on their relationship in its early days, Us confirmed last month that the duo called it quits after more than one year together.

“Shailene has been super busy with work,” an insider told Us in February, noting that Rodgers is always “focused” on football. “Everything was so different during lockdown, and they had been living in their bubble.”
