Sister of Natalie Wood Unveils Reason Behind Divorce

In a groundbreaking 12-episode podcast titled Fatal Voyage: The Mysterious Death of Natalie Wood, Lana Wood has disclosed the pivotal event that led to the divorce between her sister and actor Robert Wagner in 1962.

According to Lana, the West Side Story star discovered Wagner in an intimate embrace with another man in June 1961, ultimately culminating in the dissolution of their marriage.

Detailing the emotional turmoil surrounding the marriage breakdown, Natalie Wood’s memoir, unearthed by the podcast creators, vividly captures the heartbreaking moments that shattered her romantic illusions.

Wood expressed the excruciating pain of facing the harsh reality that crumbled her once cherished dreams of love.

Recalling the distressing incident that unfolded when she was just 15 years old, Lana Wood recounted the harrowing sight of her sister, Natalie, arriving at their house in a state of distress and injury.

The memory of Natalie holding a cloth, bleeding, and in hysterical tears remains etched in Lana’s mind as a stark symbol of that traumatic day.

Describing the scene further, Lana revealed that Natalie confided in her about catching Wagner with another person, a revelation that marked the beginning of the end for their marriage.

The shocking discovery of Wagner’s infidelity with another man left Natalie devastated, prompting her decision to part ways with her husband.

The mysterious circumstances surrounding Natalie Wood’s untimely death in 1981 have long raised suspicions, with her then-husband, Robert Wagner, coming under scrutiny as a ‘person of interest’ in the investigation.

The actress was found deceased in the waters near Wagner’s yacht, Splendour, a day after an alleged heated argument between them.

Captain Dennis Davern, who was present on the yacht that fateful night, has since admitted to withholding crucial information and fabricating details in his initial report.

Davern pointed towards Wagner’s potential involvement in Wood’s tragic demise, hinting at a series of regrettable decisions made in the aftermath of the incident.

While actor Christopher Walken, another individual on board the yacht during Wood’s death, has been relatively reticent about the events of that night, he hinted at a narrative involving Wood accidentally slipping into the water while attempting to move a dinghy.

Despite the vague recounting of events, Walken alluded to the somber and perplexing nature of the tragedy.

Contrary to Walken’s account, Lana Wood speculated in the Fatal Voyage podcast that a violent altercation onboard the boat likely precipitated her sister’s fatal fall into the water.

Disputing the notion of a premeditated act, Lana emphasized her belief that the situation escalated to a point where Natalie was either pushed or struck during a heated confrontation.

Despite periodic cooperation with the ongoing investigations into Wood’s death, Robert Wagner remained tight-lipped when questioned about the case’s reopening on the 30th anniversary of the incident.

Notably, Wagner refrained from addressing Lana Wood’s recent allegations regarding a purported homosexual affair as a contributing factor to the couple’s separation.
