Amber Heard admits She Struck Johnny Depp in March 2015

In court, Amber Heard said that the first time she attacked ex-husband Johnny Depp was when he attempted to force her sister Whitney down the stairs.

During Depp’s libel case against a British tabloid at the High Court in London, the actress faced a barrage of questions about alleged incidents that are central to The Sun’s labeling of Depp as a “wife beater” in an April 2018 article – while on the witness stand.

In March 2015, the Aquaman actress said she struck Depp for the first time to protect her sister. When questioned whether she punched the Pirates of the Caribbean star “with a closed fist,” Heard stated she did so after he assaulted her and her sister.

“He was about to push her down the stairs and the moment before that happened, I remembered information I had heard that he pushed a former girlfriend — I believe it was Kate Moss — down the stairs,” she claimed. In the 1990s, Depp dated the top model.

“I will never forget this incident,” she stated. “After all these years, it was the first time.”

Depp’s lawyer, Eleanor Laws, then questioned Heard about why she had never revealed the claim concerning Moss, who dated Depp in the 1990s.

“I’ve not had the liberty of time or space or energy even to list every thought that crossed my mind,” Heard said.

Depp’s lawyer sought to show that the actress’s evidence was riddled with discrepancies, accusing her of weaving a “web of lies” and “making this up as you go along.”

Throughout the day, Heard, 34, persisted she was telling the truth.

“After everything I’d been through; I’d been strangled, punched, and sexually assaulted, among other things,” she added.

In 2015, Heard and Depp married. She filed a domestic violence restraining order against him in May 2016, accusing him of beating her. Depp rejected the allegations, and the former couple reached an out-of-court settlement in August 2016. Her $7 million divorce settlement was given to charity. Both performers signed nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) prohibiting them from discussing their relationship in public.

Ms Laws made much of a set of video footage from an elevator at the couple’s Los Angeles apartment building, claiming that they revealed no indication of any injuries on Heard’s face following an altercation on May 21, 2016, that resulted in police being on the scene.

Depp allegedly hurled a phone at her “like he was a baseball pitcher,” striking her on the right cheek and eye, according to the actress. When she leaves the house, she says she puts on cosmetics that might hide evidence of an injury.

Heard also denied having a “illicit relationship” with anybody while dating Depp, citing Tesla CEO Elon Musk and actor James Franco as examples. “Not that it makes a difference,” Heard remarked.

On May 22, 2016, Ms Laws reviewed text exchanges in which Heard reportedly tells Musk she’s planning to get a restraining order against Depp and the billionaire offers to “arrange 24/7 security”
