Anna Faris Reflects on Overlooking Relationship Red Flags with Chris Pratt

Anna Faris, the former wife of Chris Pratt, has revealed that she failed to heed the warning signs during her marriage to the Guardians of the Galaxy actor.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2009 and announced their separation in August 2017, starred together as a couple in the comedy film Take Me Home Tonight, released in 2011.

During an episode of her podcast “Anna Faris Is Unqualified” on Monday, Faris candidly discussed her past relationships, including her marriage to Pratt and her earlier marriage to Ben Indra.

She admitted, “At some point, I realised there were a lot of things I ignored that I really shouldn’t have.”

Speaking to guest Rachel Bilson, Faris expressed that looking back, she felt somewhat coerced into decisions and lacked independence in her choices.

She confessed, “In hindsight, I feel like my hand was forced.

I don’t think it was ever an independent decision.”

Faris, known for her role in the sitcom Mom, disclosed that she found it challenging to confide in her friends about the issues she faced while being married to Marvel star Pratt.

She admitted, “I never talked about any issues.

With Chris, I think that we both protected that imagery even within our close circles.”

Reflecting on her decision to proceed with the marriage, Faris indicated that external expectations played a significant role in her choices.

She remarked, “I really feel like calling off an engagement is a smarter, stronger, braver move than what I did, which was like, ‘well, I guess everyone is expecting this, so let’s just go through with it’.”

Following their divorce finalization in 2018, Faris and Pratt continue to co-parent their eight-year-old son, Jack.

Faris has since gotten engaged to cinematographer Michael Barrett, whereas Pratt exchanged vows with Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019.
