Mia Farrow Opens Up About Her Adopted Children’s Deaths

Mia Farrow is addressing what she calls “hurtful rumors” surrounding the deaths of three of her adopted children.

In response to the release of HBO’s Allen v. Farrow documentary, which sparked questions from viewers about the lack of focus on the deaths of her children Tam, Lark, and Thaddeus, Mia Farrow decided to speak out.

Tam passed away at 17, Lark at 35, and Thaddeus at 29.

Back in 2018, Farrow’s son Moses criticized her and the family in a blog post, shedding light on what he described as a troubled upbringing.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Farrow stated that her family is her top priority.

With 14 children, she emphasized the importance of family while acknowledging her children’s preference for privacy.

She mentioned selectively sharing on social media and clarified her decision to address the rumors now.

Farrow expressed the pains of losing a child, emphasizing that no family is flawless.

She highlighted the hurt caused by baseless rumors circulating online and aimed to honor the memories of her children and all families who have experienced such loss.

Regarding her daughter Tam’s passing in 2000, Mia Farrow revealed that Tam struggled with severe migraines, leading to her accidental overdose from prescription medication due to her heart condition.

In his blog post from 2018, Moses alleged that Tam’s depression worsened as their mother neglected to provide her with proper assistance.

He recounted the tragic day when Tam took her own life after an argument with Mia, refuting the claim that it was an accidental overdose.

Farrow also shared about her daughter Lark, who succumbed to complications from HIV/AIDS in 2008, and her son Thaddeus, who tragically took his own life in 2016 following a breakup.

Describing Lark as an exceptional woman who lived a loving life despite her illness, Mia Farrow praised her resilience.

She mourned the loss of Thaddeus, who was looking forward to a future with his partner before his untimely death.

Dismissing Moses’s accusations, Farrow maintained her stance, while Dylan Farrow, her daughter, discredited his claims, labeling him as troubled and expressing regret over his actions.

Mia Farrow concluded her statement by focusing on the love and joy present in her life today, expressing gratitude for her large family and sending well wishes to those facing their battles and sorrows.

The tumultuous past with Woody Allen and the abuse allegations against him were not the central theme of her message.
