Portman’s Painful Ordeal on Black Swan Film Set

Natalie Portman endured excruciating pain on the set of the latest movie, Black Swan, as she reportedly “dislocated a rib” during filming due to the absence of an on-site medical professional.

The 29-year-old actress, known for her role as a ballerina in the Darren Aronofsky film, dedicated long hours daily to dance training to ensure the authenticity of her character portrayal.

During her appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night, Portman shared the intense discomfort she faced after a mishap occurred during a lift sequence.

She described the incident, stating, “I injured a rib, I like dislocated a rib, it sort of went under another one, when you get lifted it just sort of went under.”

Despite her distressing injury, there was no immediate medical assistance available on set, as the film’s financial constraints did not allow for the provision of an on-call medic.

Portman recounted her struggle, recalling how she reached out to a producer requesting medical aid, only to be informed that there was no medic present due to the production’s limited budget.

Expressing her disbelief at the situation, Portman remarked, “It’s funny because when I got injured I called the producer, I was like ‘Could you get the medic?

I need an ice pack or something right now,’ and he was like, ‘Oh, we don’t have a medic because it’s super low budget.'”

Despite her years of experience in the industry, the lack of medical support left Port
