A toast to actress Megan Fox and singer Machine Gun Kelly is in order. The pair has confirmed their engagement on social media.
Megan broke the news on Instagram the next day, after MGK proposed on January 11th.
In the caption of her Wednesday Instagram photo announcing the engagement, Fox wrote, “In July of 2020, we sat under this banyan tree.”
“We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.”
“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him,” Fox said in the post. “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.”
Kelly posted an Instagram video of Fox wearing the two fused rings he created for the occasion, which have a diamond and an emerald that form “the obscure heart that is our love.”:
“’Yes, in this life and every life’ – Beneath the same branches we fell in love under, i brought her back to ask her to marry me. I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”
“And then we drank each other’s blood,” Fox concluded her post “a scene not seen in the video
Kelly posted a video of the two tumbling into a hotel bed with a rose-petal heart on his Instagram story.
Megan and Machine Gun Kelly, real name Colson Baker, initially made their relationship public in June 2020, however the two had met months before while shooting the Randall Emmett film Midnight in the Switchgrass. “Our trailers were next to each other so I just waited outside on my trailer steps every day I worked just to catch one glimpse of eye contact,” MGK, 31, revealed on a joint edition of the Give Them Lala…With Randall podcast in July 2020. “She has the most gorgeous eyes I’ve ever seen.”
Megan went on to say that they had an immediate connection. “The second that I was in a room with him and said hello to him and looked into his eyes, I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame,” she stated on the show at the time. “We’re actually two halves of the same soul I think. I said that to him almost immediately. I felt it right away.”
Fox, the 35-year-old star of the “Transformers” flicks, is married for the second time. From 2010 until 2021, she was married to actor Brian Austin Green. Together, they have three sons.
Green, for one, has made it plain that there is no bad blood between him and his ex.
Kelly, who has a kid from a prior relationship, is marrying for the first time.
