Harry and Meghan Arrive in Victoria: A Quest for a Warmer Reception

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have landed in Vancouver, Canada, aboard a private jet to begin their three-day visit linked to the upcoming Invictus Games.

Exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail.com show their jet touching down in Vancouver just after 12 pm PT, following a two-hour flight from Santa Barbara, where they currently reside.

The plane then flew to Victoria, landing at 12:47 pm after a short 15-minute hop covering a distance of 34 nautical miles to Vancouver Island.

The couple famously stayed at Mille Fleurs, a mansion on Vancouver Island, in the town of North Saanich, shortly after their departure from royal duties in January 2020.

Their current visit comes amidst a series of controversies, including the launch of their new website, Sussex.com, without consulting palace officials about using their Sussex titles.

During their stay, Harry and Meghan will spend two days meeting competitors in the ski resort of Whistler and have another engagement in Vancouver on Friday.

These events follow Harry’s recent quick visit to London to see his cancer-stricken father, King Charles.

However, the meeting lasted only 30 minutes and did not include Queen Camilla.

After leaving London, Harry made an appearance at the NFL Honors Awards in Las Vegas, where he presented the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award.

Despite his cheerful demeanor during the event, Harry was later photographed looking glum in the hotel’s underground parking lot and did not stay to watch the football game.

On Monday, the couple relaunched their website, which includes their biographies and recent activities.

Harry’s bio emphasizes his environmental credentials, despite his use of private jets, while Meghan’s bio focuses on her philanthropy work, with little mention of her acting past or the Royal family.

Critics argue that the website is an attempt to monetize their royal connections, leading to renewed calls for the couple to have their titles removed.

It has also been reported that palace officials were not consulted about the new site and that the crest used may be out of date.

The revamped Sussex.com highlights Harry’s Invictus Games initiative, which will return next year with a snow sports edition in Whistler.

During their three-day trip, Harry and Meghan will meet competitors from various countries at a training camp in the resort.

The couple’s website states that their office is focused on shaping the future through business and philanthropy, including the Archewell Foundation and Archewell Productions.

Since leaving the Royal Family and moving to California, Harry and Meghan have pursued various avenues to bring in revenue.

This includes Harry’s upcoming memoir, “Spare,” as part of a $20 million deal with Penguin Books.

They have also partnered with Netflix to produce a docu-series called “Harry And Meghan,” reportedly earning them $100 million for six episodes.
