Royal Compassion: Kate and William Support London Food Bank After Theft

Pecan publicly acknowledged the royal couple’s support with a heartfelt post on X, thanking them for their donation, which amounted to £3,500 (approximately $4,260).

“A huge thank you to @Kensingtonroyal who have donated to the recovery effort following the theft of £3k of food supplies from @southwarkfoodbk,” the charity wrote, showcasing the combined efforts of the community during this challenging time.

The charity expressed their astonishment at the overwhelming response from the public, stating, “All at @Pecan121a have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from across society.

According to Kensington Palace, both Prince William and Princess Kate were moved by the news of the incident and felt compelled to take action.

Pecan’s CEO, Peter Edwards, highlighted the community’s remarkable reaction to the unfortunate event, further emphasizing the importance of support during tough times.

“We thank them all for their support at the end of a very tough week,” Edwards remarked, expressing his appreciation for the collective effort in restoring the food bank’s resources.
